Jilson’s New Bearing Products Division

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: CONTACT: Steven Becher – 800-969-5400

Lodi, NJ. As a result of a merger between The Jilson Corporation and Jilson Casters, Inc., the newly formed company, The Jilson Group has formed a Bearing Products Division to complement their other two divisions - Casters and Packaging Products.

“For almost three decades, Jilson has been solving manufacturing and processing problems resulting from bearing failure,” said executive vice-president, Helen Astmann. “Our new Bearing Products Division increases our ability to provide the most cost efficient, hassle free solutions to many bearing performance problems.”

Not only does Jilson maintain a huge inventory of bearing products; the company provides engineering capabilities to design and manufacture custom bearings and bearing products. Customers can place orders from very small to extremely large quantities. “And,” Astmann added, “ Jilson uses the most technologically advanced methods to maintain high quality while keeping cost down.”

Plastic bearings—non-corrosive, non-magnetic—and self-lubricating
Jilson’s non-corrosive, radial ball bearings are lightweight, self-lubricating and non-magnetic, making them ideal for use in a wide variety of industries including photographic film processing, food processing, pharmaceutical and chemical processing just to name a few.

Plastic goes where metal can’t
Because of their resistance to chemicals and corrosive elements, Jilson’s plastic bearing products can be used with full confidence in aggressive environments—where acids and bases would normally attack and destroy metals. They washdown in high pressure, hot water environments, clean easily and, of course, will not rust.

Self-lubrication means cleaner operation—and no re-lubricating
Jilson’s bearings are maintenance-free—they require no lubrication—that means there’s no concern for oil or grease leaks. Great where accessibility for service is limited or for use in applications where lubrication is undesirable.

Plastic overcomes weight limitations
When weight savings is a factor, Jilson’s lightweight plastic bearings are the way to go. And, they have a low coefficient of friction.

Many sizes, many materials
Jilson radial ball bearings are available in a wide range of both metric and inch sizes and in a variety of materials which can be used in temperatures ranging from -452° to 370° F. Standard component materials are acetal, polypropylene and polyethylene, each with properties suitable for specific applications.

Plastic housings—unmatched in strength, performance and cleanability
Made of solid Valoxtm, they can be chipped, scratched, dented and thoroughly abused, but will not fail from corrosion. Interchangeable with conventional metal housings, Jilson’s durable plastic bearing housings have excellent mechanical strength, stiffness and dimensional stability. Yet unlike metal housings, they are corrosion proof, lightweight and need no plating or coating protection.

“With more than a quarter century of experience keeping the world in motion,” Astmann said, “these product lines are designed to keep Jilson customers on a smooth running course with reduced downtime and lower maintenance costs. After all,” she said, “we go to extremes to make things move.”
